If there's a shortcut to being a published writer, I missed it.

In college, I attended Bread Loaf and studied under the brilliant poet and novelist Jay Parini. After a year volunteering with an NGO in Thailand, I moved to Los Angeles and worked on the television series Babylon 5. While learning how the TV sausage gets made, I became fascinated by the power dynamic between creatives and those holding the purse strings. That curiosity took me to Wharton, followed by a fifteen-year career in investment banking.

I continue to find fulfillment and meaning in my day job building businesses in real estate and entertainment, as well as in my volunteer work in education. I rekindled my writing habit during the pandemic, focusing on speculative fiction, leading to my first publication in Infinite Worlds.

When I write, I'm interested in ordinary people making complicated choices inside systems they only partially understand. And there's usually some crying and robots.
